Beating a Bitch With The Rule of Thumb

The rule of thumb as the story goes is that in the early days a man could only beat his bitch with a stick no thicker then his thumb. Now I am a reasonable kind of guy and to tell you the truth that seems to me a reasonable limitation on bitch beating. After all you wouldn’t want to do any permanent damage. Its kind of like smacking your dog, sure you would like to kill the thing when it shits on your bed but the vet bills would be a bitch.
